Kennedy founded Trinity Capital Partners in 1990 to focus on private equity investments, venture capital transactions and corporate advisory with the goal of attracting excellent management teams and achieving superior investment returns through the leveraging of his experience and relationships in the public and private financial markets.

TCP began with buyouts of industrial manufacturing and distribution businesses targeting industries with organic growth; businesses able to reinvest free cash flow in capital expansions, proprietary technology or products and industries with the potential for additional acquisitions or joint ventures.

TCP has completed over 175 acquisitions, joint ventures and divestitures in industries ranging from financial services, chemicals, industrial manufacturing, media and telecommunications and investment management. TCP also has completed transactions and developed relationships worldwide and made investments in the United States, Canada and Europe.
